Research teams, players, rookies, autographs and rare inserts before you collect or break.
Savvy Collecting organizes baseball cards by year, product, team, player, card set, parallel, autograph status, rookie status and rare-insert grouping. The featured baseball guide is 2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball.
Browse all 30 MLB teams, compare players, explore official Hobby and Lunar pack odds, follow eBay active and sold searches, and build checklists to track your collection. Update Series, Museum Collection and Allen & Ginter X are also available. Astronauts, celebrities, greetings and musical items have their own subject groups; World Baseball Classic cards browse by country.
Start with the Yankees checklist, Shohei Ohtani’s player page, or the Cosmic Chrome odds page.
Unique cards counts a design once with its parallels collapsed. A player’s Base card and its colored Refractors share one design identity. A separate Constellation variation remains a separate design, even if a printed card number overlaps.
Card appearances counts the catalogued versions under each team. Family-level parallel availability comes from the odds sheet; Topps does not guarantee every subject in every parallel. A multi-team card appears under each named franchise but counts once in the product’s unique-card total.
Rookies counts individual people using the checklist’s player identities, with documented corrections for inconsistent source flags. Autograph card counts and signer counts are separate metrics. See the methodology for the complete definitions.
Printed team labels remain in the source records. Browse teams normalize historical franchises: Brooklyn Dodgers cards appear under the Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels under the Los Angeles Angels, and Oakland Athletics under Athletics. Divisions follow the six current MLB divisions.
Dual and triple cards retain each subject and team. Non-baseball cut-signature subjects are grouped separately instead of being assigned an MLB franchise.
Autograph flags follow the signed set identity, including Cosmic Explorers Cut Signatures. Rookie status follows the base checklist when available and retains an audit trail of source-label corrections.
The SSP filter is Savvy’s curated rare-insert grouping, not an official Topps SSP designation or guaranteed case hit. It groups non-autograph insert families whose best published odds are at least 1 in 500 packs across the offered formats. Supernova remains a separate chase because its Lunar pull rate is 1 in 77 packs.
The supplied Topps checklist and odds PDFs are the primary sources. The methodology page links the PDFs, product configuration and parallel serial references. Published odds describe a card set or parallel, not a specific player. Checklist depth is not a prediction of a card’s value or a guaranteed break outcome.
eBay links open active or sold searches. Where available, listing previews are possible matches and should be checked against the listing’s photos and description. As an eBay Partner, Savvy Collecting may be compensated if you make a purchase through these links.
